Airly

Airly creates innovative and effective tools to measure the quality of air wherever you are. By providing governments, businesses and communities with accurate data, Airly helps them to understand and respond to the threat of air pollution. Put simply, Airly means reduced emissions and improved public health.
Why we’re excited:
In the UK, air pollution is the biggest risk to public health. In fact, it is estimated that by between 2017 and 2025 the total cost to the NHS and social care system of air pollutants will be £1.6 billion. Finding a solution to air pollution is essential but until then measuring the air pollution around us is key to helping individuals lead happy and healthy lives. We’re all for Airly’s efforts to make this information easy and accessible to all.

Greyparrot AI

Greyparrot is a leading AI waste analytics platform for the circular economy, digitising the waste management industry to tackle the growing waste crisis head-on. Greyparrot’s mission is to increase transparency and automation in recycling by unlocking the financial value of waste and ultimately keep our planet clean.
Why we’re excited:
When it comes to how waste is managed, there has been no systematic accountability to date. Hence, stagnating recycling rates and devastating environmental impact. To put things in perspective most of our waste is not biodegradable and cannot be properly recycled meaning its filling our oceans and landfills! It’s clear something more needs to be done and we believe Greyparrot is the start-up to do just that.
