What is my Specialist Score?

Your Specialist Score reflects your achievements, dedication, and active engagement on the Passionfruit Platform. Each scoring category is carefully calculated to offer a balanced, fair representation of your professional stature. The higher your score, the more projects you’ll get matched to, and the more you’ll be able to earn. You'll also rank in our leaderboards as a top performer in your profession, setting you apart from the rest!

How long does onboarding take?

There are three stages to onboarding, each which requires Passionfruit's approval and is reviewed within a week of submission. Continue to check the status of your application to ensure a speedy onboarding.

Who owns the work done by a specialist?

The customer (business/company) exclusively owns the work done by a specialist, as per the Intellectual Property agreement found in our T&Cs. Specialists are able to display their work as part of their personal portfolio, unless requested otherwise by the company.

How long do projects usually last?

Typically ~5 months, but projects can roll on for as many as you and your client both want to work together. Fun fact, we've had Passionfruit projects last for 2+ years!

Project Support

What is my notice period?

Please give your Specialist Success team 14 working days notice before your project renewal date in order to wrap up your project before your next project-month begins. We'll be on hand to make sure your handover is as smooth as possible.

Once my project is live, how is Passionfruit involved?

Day to day, you will work directly with the client. Anything revolving around the project scope will be handled directly between you and them. The Passionfruit Specialist Success team is there to provide additional support and value, along with all your admin/HR needs. Ultimately, you can build your entire freelance business on Passionfruit. Onboarding assistance, check-ins, feedback sessions, up-skilling opportunities, networking and events are some of the things you'll receive when you work with Passionfruit.

Payments and Billing

How do I submit my invoice?

Head to your Passionfruit dashboard and select the 'Payments' tab to upload your invoice for the month previously worked.

When will I get paid?

We send payment to you on the last day of the month for the month previously worked.e.g project starts 15th Jan, first month is completed 15th Feb so payment processed on the last day of Feb. Don't worry - you'll never be chasing payment for work done on Passionfruit.

Will my Specialist sign an NDA?

Yes, all Specialists will sign an NDA as part of the Passionfruit contract.

What is Passionfruit's notice period?

As per our T&Cs, for any project changes our notice period is seven working days ahead of your monthly renewal date. Reach out to your Customer Success contact and they'll take it from there.

Who owns the work done by a specialist?

Is there a minimum project length?

Our usual projects operate on a monthly rolling basis, with a notice period of 7 working days. That said, you can also start an ad-hoc project for a fixed period of time (e.g. a sprint on website copy over 3 weeks).

Where do your specialists work?

All over the world, but primarily in the UK, Europe and North America.

What's the difference between Passionfruit and a marketing agency?

Passionfruit is a platform where you can meet vetted marketing Specialists who are custom-matched to your needs, using our in-platform algorithm. You can meet your Specialist in as soon as one-week and once your project begins, you'll have access to your dedicated Customer Success team. Unlike agencies, we don't require multi-month retainers and the Specialists will work directly into your team.

How can I be sure that these are real specialists?

We have a thorough three stage vetting process for Passionfruit Specialists, which includes reference checking, interviewing and case study analysis. Specialists are continually vetted on-platform to ensure standards are consistently high. If you're still in doubt, the free chemistry call can put your mind at ease!

Just ahead of your kick-off date, your project will appear as 'live' on your Passionfruit dashboard, and here you'll be to contact the Specialist directly.

Can I meet the specialist before I start the project?

Yes! Ahead of moving forwards with your matched Specialist, you will receive a proposal and a chemistry call facilitated by Passionfruit.

How do I log on to my Passionfruit account?

Ahead of project kick off, you'll receive full login details and onboarding information.
