When will I get paid?

The moment the project month is approved as completed. Typically within 24hrs of the month end. Don't worry - you'll never be chasing payment for work done on Passionfruit.

How long do projects usually last?

Typically 2-3 months but many, if you want to continue working on it, can last for close to 6+ months.

Who are your typical customers?

Early stage venture backed startups funded by the likes of YCombinator, Accel, a16z and so forth.

What is it like to be part of the community?

We define community as a support system that helps you reach milestones faster and more effectively than you could alone. There's very little we won't do - within the law! - to help you achieve your goals as an independent worker.

What is VAT charged on?

VAT is charged on all products and services for UK-based companies.

Who owns the work done by a specialist?

The user (business/startup) fully and exclusively owns the work done by a specialist for the particular project.

What payment types do you accept?

Payments by card and bank transfer in USD, GBP and EUR.

When do I get invoiced?

We invoice at the start of each project month and hold in ESCROW until approved completion of that project month.

When will I be charged for the work?

Once the project month is complete, the money will leave our account and be transferred to the specialist.

What's the cost?

Passionfruit charges a 25% service charge on all projects.

How do I contact my specialist?

Once the project has begun, you will be provided with the email address of the specialist.

Is there a minimum length of engagement?

Unless in very particular circumstances (e.g. a sprint on website copy over 2 weeks), most projects last a minimum of one month.

How much will it cost?

We have a soft minimum of £1000/mo for a Passionfruit project. Most projects cost between £1500-£4500/mo; the final cost depends on the exact scope of services.

Can I meet the specialist before I start the project?

Yes - all projects come with a free chemistry call as standard.
